The tourist information centre (phone 332775), on the west side of the botanical gardens at Jalan Paledang 35, has a rough map of the town. The office is open from 8 AM to 2 PM Monday to Thursday, from 8 AM to 11 AM on Friday and from 8 AM to 1 PM on Saturday. They also have a branch at the entrance to the gardens.
Bogor has plenty of banks, mostly along Jalan Ir.H.Juanda. Bank Central Asia (BCA) at no.28 has a foreign currency counter on the 2nd floor and usually has the best rates, no fees and will accept most brands of travellers' cheques.

Pusat informasi wisata (telp. 332775) yang berada di sisi Barat kebon raya di Jl. Paledang 35 memiliki peta kota Bogor. Kantor ini buka dari jam 8.00 s/d 14.00 WIB hari Senin s/d Kamis, jam 8.00 s/d 11.00 WIB pada hari Jum'at dan 8.00 s/d 13.00 WIB pada hari Sabtu. Kantor pusat informasi wisata juga memiliki kantor cabang di depan pintu masuk utama kebun raya.
Untuk perbankan, ada banyak bank di kota Bogor, terutama di sepanjang Jl. Ir.H. Juanda. Bank BCA di Jl. Ir.H.Juanda no.28 memiliki loket penukaran mata uang asing di lantai 2 yang menerima hampir semua cek perjalanan (traveller cheque) tanpa memungut biaya.
